Ukrtelecom and Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection of National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” have announced that their partnership has reached a strategic level. This cooperation aims to strengthen the practical component in the training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of information and communications technology and cybersecurity of state information resources and critical information infrastructure facilities.
The partnership involves:
- exchange of expertise and practical experience,
- delivery of lectures, seminars, and workshops,
- establishment of modern educational laboratories.
At earlier stages of the collaboration, a series of workshops was held for the academic and research staff of the Institute. Ukrtelecom experts – Chief Technical Officer Dmytro Mykityuk, Chief Information Officer Pavlo Holitsyn, and Head of IT Security Department Yevhen Alekseiev – shared practical case studies on the design of modern network architecture for a fixed-line operator and the implementation of effective cybersecurity models for infocommunication systems. The acquired knowledge is already being incorporated into the Institute’s educational programmes.
The next step will be the establishment of a training laboratory equipped with cutting-edge communication technology from leading global manufacturers. Ukrtelecom will provide the technical equipment for the laboratory and will also offer expert and advisory support for its further development.
