DTEK Energy’s heavy engineering arms continue to actively help miners produce steam coal and prepare thermal generation capacities for the upcoming heating season.
Over seven months of 2024, the company manufactured and repaired nearly 800 units of mining equipment. The most crucial new equipment includes nine headers and shearers.
To further bolster the mining operations, the engineers supplied 618,000 spare parts and components.
This reinforces the thermal generation capacities for the upcoming heating season.
“The next very challenging autumn and winter season is just about two months away and is approaching fast. However, our power engineers, repair crews, miners, and heavy engineers have all been working hard for a long time to prepare for it. We prioritise the fastest recovery. But we also need sufficient coal supplies for the reliable operation of thermal power plants and grid balancing in winter. Thus, the miners launch new longwalls, while the heavy engineers supply the required mining equipment. To maintain uninterrupted power and heating supply to Ukrainian homes for as long as possible, we need a great daily teamwork from top to bottom,”
