In Q1 2024, the bank allocated UAH 18 million towards helping the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, Main Directorate of Intelligence, and Security Service of Ukraine. The bank’s total assistance provided since the outbreak of the full-scale invasion amounted to UAH 185 million.
Leonid Skalozub, Deputy Chairman of FUIB Management Board for Security, commented:
“In 2024, the Security and Defence Forces acutely need the electronic warfare devices and computer equipment, AWD vehicles and spare parts, drones and UAV complex systems. Our support saves lives of soldiers at the front and civilians in peaceful cities.”
At the request of the International Legion of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence, FUIB procured the UAV complex system SHULIKA - S1, which includes 5 units acting as attack and reconnaissance drones, as well as control and launch systems. SHULIKA will help the defenders perform difficult combat tasks from a safe distance, protecting the personnel and destroying the enemy targets effectively.
In addition to direct assistance to military units, FUIB works with charities. In March, FUIB’s donation to Serhiy Prytula Foundation contributed towards meeting the request of the 59th Separate Mechanised Infantry Brigade for six powerful EW devices, with leftover funds invested in two DJI Intelligent Flight Batteries for Mavic 3. This EW gear will be mounted onto combat vehicles deployed in one of the biggest flashpoints at the front, saving lives of our defenders.
As part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front initiative, FUIB purchased ten pickup trucks, one for Operational Command North and nine for mobile fire teams of the Regional Department of Northern Territorial Defence Forces. These powerful trucks will help strike the aerial targets, protect civilians and critical infrastructure in Chernihiv Oblast.
