FUIB has joined the fundraiser organised by students of Kyiv School of Economics with the support of the KSE Foundation and UKRAINIAN DEFENSE DEVELOPMENT CHARITY FUND to generate UAH $1 million for medevac helicopters for the Main Intelligence Directorate. The bank has channelled UAH 11 million to move the seriously wounded from the battlefield.
Since the first days of the all-out war, FUIB has been investing to help Ukrainian combatants on the front lines and make their work more efficient and secure. To this end, the bank has allocated more than UAH 94 million to purchase protective gear and equipment for defenders. Yet, we must also invest in saving lives, not just provide help in the flashpoints. In addition to operating theatres (the Frontline Operating Theatre project), medical appliances, tactical medicine supplies and blood deliveries (the We Are of One Blood project), we must help with evacuation efforts because the frontline is a dangerous and hard-to-reach place. Every minute counts for the wounded.
“FUIB’s team has been supporting Kyiv School of Economics since 2018. We are proud that the students of this university where we invested in educational scholarships and development of innovative education, initiate such large-scale projects for the Main Intelligence Directorate today. Therefore, we were among the first to join the fundraiser and contribute UAH 11 million. This is not just about important emergency equipment, but also about supporting proactive young people who do everything to save our defenders,”
commented Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB Board Chairman.
