FUIB has transferred UAH 3 million to the Tabletochki Charity Foundation, earmarked for assisting children with cancer receiving treatment at the National Specialised Children's Hospital Okhmatdyt.
This donation will be directed towards:
• Supporting families with children who were undergoing cancer treatment at Okhmatdyt
• Assisting hospitals that have taken in children with cancer diagnoses to continue their care
• Helping Okhmatdyt manage the repercussions of the missile strike.
The Tabletochki Foundation manages six departments at Okhmatdyt, treating children with cancer and supporting crucial departments like the laboratory, radiology, and radiotherapy. Typically, 130-150 children with cancer diagnoses receive treatment at Okhmatdyt each month.
The hospital provides specialised care that demands highly qualified medical professionals, special sterile environments, expensive medications, and sophisticated equipment. Some services are exclusively available at Okhmatdyt. The ongoing operation of this facility is vital for the treatment of Ukrainian children battling cancer.
