Ukrtelecom stands as the top tax contributor among fixed communication operators and providers in Ukraine, having paid over UAH 1.35 billion in taxes and levies across various government levels in 2023.
Danylo Hetmantsev, the Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, reported that the telecommunications sector paid 4.6% more into Ukraine's Consolidated Budget in 2023 compared to 2022. Ukrtelecom is among the four biggest tax contributors in its market sector, and leads this statistic among fixed communication operators and providers.
"Most tax contributions across this industry (80.1%) came from Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine, Lifecell, and Ukrtelecom," highlighted Mr Hetmantsev.
"In these challenging times, everyone is contributing to bring our victory closer and support the Ukrainian Defence Forces in any way possible. By paying taxes we help support the country. We're committed to working tirelessly to safeguard our freedom and independence," said Yuriy Kurmaz, CEO of Ukrtelecom.
Continuing its support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ukrtelecom has allocated over UAH 210 million in charitable donations for defence needs since the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion.
