One more shipment from Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front initiative has made it to Ukrainian boarder guards. Metinvest Group has brought vehicles and UAVs worth UAH 15 million in total.
The aggressor state does not give up attempts to violate the sovereignty of Ukraine and expand the boarders of Russia at the expense of occupied areas. Our soldiers continue to defend the national frontiers with dogged resistance and tenacity. Metinvest has provided 10 4WD vans and 10 Valkyrie drones to the State Boarder Service of Ukraine to help them with their mission.
"The drones help receive information about the enemy you can't get otherwise. With this information about the enemy's resources, we can both destroy the enemy's manpower and save lives of our soldiers. We are Ukrainians, and we really appreciate when Ukrainian companies produce effective monitoring devices. With this particular UAV, there is less risk that it would be brought down by enemy electronic warfare," stated a representative of the State Boarder Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Sebalo.
"As we received a request from the Border Guard, we contacted to different UAV manufacturers. And we found out that foreign counterparts of our domestic device cost from UAH 2 to 4 million. And we bought ten domestic systems with the same properties for UAH 8 million,"
explained Oleksandr Vodoviz VODOVIZ, Head of Metinvest Group CEO's Project Office.
Overall, Metinvest has sourced more than UAH 2 billion to support the Ukrainian army as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative. The company provides regular supplies of equipment to the frontlines, with part of the equipment coming from abroad. The Ukrainian army has already received over 1,200 UAVs from Metinvest, which makes it one of the biggest suppliers of unmanned aerial vehicles.
