Metinvest Group continues to enhance the defence capabilities of Ukrainian fighters as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front initiative. One more shipment of supplies worth UAH 5 million was sent by the Company to the State Boarder Service of Ukraine.
Metinvest's shipment helped equip five mobile response and monitoring groups of the State Border Guard Service. The aid included 5 pickups, 15 thermal imagers, and 5 cutting-edge night vision devices.
Overall, as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative, Metinvest has sourced more than UAH 2 billion to support the Ukrainian army.
"Once again we have supplied vehicles, night vision equipment and thermal imagers with high resolution. It was a real challenge to source these German devices, and we are very happy that we did it and made our soldiers happy,"
said the Head of Metinvest Group CEO's Project Office Oleksandr Vodoviz.
The company provides regular supplies of equipment to the frontlines, with part of the equipment coming from abroad. The Ukrainian army has already received 1,200 UAVs from Metinvest, which makes it one of the biggest suppliers of unmanned aerial vehicles. Also, the company supplied 1,700 thermal imagers, over 400 vehicles, including ambulances, and 1.2 million litres of fuel.
