In the challenging context of a full-scale war, Ukrainian healthcare workers are facing an unprecedented workload. Their services are desperately needed not only by patients with common health issues but also by civilians injured in the conflict, especially in areas close to the front lines.
This donation marks another significant contribution from the Metinvest Group to the Myrnohrad City Hospital. In preparation for this donation, company leadership engaged with hospital staff to understand their specific needs. As a result, the medical equipment provided was carefully selected to significantly enhance the hospital's capacity to serve the community effectively.
FACTS AND FIGURES
Metinvest has provided Myrnohrad City Hospital with medical equipment worth UAH 1.5 million
"We are deeply thankful to Metinvest for their generous assistance. This contribution is crucial for our facility. We're grateful that, even in these difficult times, Metinvest has again found a way to support our institution. With this new equipment, we'll be able to significantly broaden the range of surgeries we can perform. Currently, our surgical department is among the most advanced in the region, conducting around a thousand surgeries annually,"
said Olha HOSTIEVA, Director of Myrnohrad City Central Hospital.
The equipment donation includes a wide variety of items, particularly a key piece: a laparoscopic stack. This addition will greatly benefit our medical staff, as our surgical department caters to patients not only from the Donetsk region but from across Ukraine.
"In the face of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest swiftly adapted its operations and logistics to preserve its core production capabilities. Crucially, we've managed to keep our workforce intact. These efforts enable us to pursue meaningful social projects,"
noted Mykola VYSHNEVSKYI, CEO of Vuhlepromtrans.
