Metinvest Digital, in collaboration with YASNO Energy Efficiency, has launched a cutting-edge electricity metering system at Metinvest’s Central and Northern Mining and Processing Plants (Central and Northern GOKs). This initiative introduced an Automated Commercial Electricity Metering System (ACEMS) and an Automated Technical Electricity Metering System (ATEMS), allowing for resource optimization and ensuring compliance with modern energy efficiency standards.
More than 1,000 metering points have been integrated into the EnergoCenter system, enabling the enterprises to transition to the "A" consumer group, optimize electricity costs, and plan energy consumption more efficiently and flexibly.
"Modern metering systems provide real-time access to precise energy data, allowing for quick decision-making, enhanced equipment performance analysis, and cost reductions. Additionally, enterprises now have access to imported electricity, which is critical for maintaining stable operations, even during supply restrictions. Digital technologies in industry are a powerful driver of competitiveness, requiring specialized expertise and substantial investment. In particular, improving energy efficiency presents a significant opportunity to lower production costs, a crucial factor in today’s economic environment. We are proud to contribute to this large-scale transformation alongside Ukraine’s leading ESCO company, YASNO Energy Efficiency,"
said Serhiy Detyuk, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Member of the Supervisory Board at Metinvest Digital, as well as Chief Information Officer of Metinvest Group.
To transition Central and Northern GOKs from Group "B" to Group "A", experts conducted a detailed analysis of existing energy systems, developed technical specifications, prepared and approved engineering documentation, dismantled outdated equipment, and installed new high-efficiency metering systems.
It is worth noting that Metinvest Digital has been developing technical energy metering systems for Metinvest Group’s enterprises for several years and holds a license as an Electricity Commercial Metering Operator.
