From January to April 2024, the railcar repair facilities of Lemtrans were operating at full capacity, allowing the company to repair 1,876 freight wagons. For context, during the corresponding period in 2023, 1,852 wagons were repaired.
Volodymyr Mezentsev, CEO of Lemtrans, commented:

Lemtrans is one of Ukraine’s largest private investors in railcar repair capabilities. Over the past 14 years before the full-scale war, during the lease of two railcar repair depots in Kamianske and Volnovakha, the company invested approximately UAH 800 million in these operations. This investment more than doubled the volume of work performed.
In 2022, the town of Volnovakha was occupied by Russian forces, resulting in the company losing control of the railcar repair depot there. The facility remains under occupation, prompting Lemtrans to explore new development opportunities.
