DTEK Energy keeps on working hard to ensure that Ukrainian thermal power plants have enough coal to operate normally.
To this end, the company commissioned 23 new longwalls in January - November 2023, with three more to be put in operation in December.
"Ukrainian miners keep working hard throughout the year so that the thermal generation sector has enough fuel in stock to operate at maximum capacity during consumption peaks, especially in winter. We prepare and launch new longwalls every month to ensure this, and we're going to have launched 26 longwalls in total by the year end. We help ensure reliable operation of our generation capacities and the Ukrainian energy grid, thus bringing electricity and heat to Ukrainian households,"
said Ildar Salieiev, CEO of DTEK Energy.
DTEK Energy will have invested around UAH 7.4 billion in Ukrainian coal mining by the end of 2023, twice as much as in 2022 (UAH 3.8 billion).
