On 14 May FUIB’s team, in partnership with DonorUA initiative, held Donor’s day in Kyiv.
Thirty colleagues donated blood to help the wounded, collecting 13.5 litres of blood in total – enough to potentially save 90 lives. The donation process was supported by medical staff from the Blood Transfusion Department, of Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.
As is tradition, FUIB’s Board Chairman joined the team in donating blood.
Serhiy Chernenko said:
“Our tradition of blood donation at FUIB has been going strong for 10 years - a decade of developing a culture of regular, systemic donation. The need for blood donations has doubled since the full-scale invasion. This is why we not only regularly donate blood ourselves, but also implement We Are of One Blood project, which brings in new donors and funds blood deliveries to the front lines. Every Ukrainian soldier’s life is priceless.”
Each donation is a chance to save up to three lives – whether it’s wounded defenders or those in critical need. Join us in helping those who are fighting for their lives right now.
