The Third Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has received one more batch of most needed equipment under Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative.
Metinvest launched the manufacture of steel products amid the ongoing war to meet the needs of the front and thus improve the defence capabilities of the Ukrainian army. In addition, the company regularly procures and hands over all kinds of equipment to different units of the AFU upon request, in particular, EW systems.
This time, Metinvest has sent yet another care package to the Third Separate Assault Brigade, including 100 dome signal amplifiers and electronic warfare systems to jam enemy UAVs. The total value of donated equipment exceeds UAH 11 million.
"We have mastered drone warfare, yet the Russians also use them very effectively. Our key goal is to mislead and disable these drones. Metinvest has already started producing decoy weapons to draw enemy fire. The EW systems will help protect our combatants,"
says Head of Metinvest Group CEO's Project Office Oleksandr Vodoviz.
Metinvest is set to donate more EW systems, because they are needed to protect equipment and, most importantly, defend Ukrainian soldiers from enemy drones.
Overall, Metinvest has allocated UAH 4.8 billion in aid to Ukraine since the outbreak of the all-out war. Within this significant amount, over UAH 2.5 billion have been channelled to help fighters under Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative. The company has produced and handed over armoured shields for 200 front-line vehicles and 330 pre-fabricated steel shelters, as well as purchased 1,500 UAVs and 2,000 units of high-precision military optical devices.
