FUIB has been supporting the Ukrainian defenders since the onset of the all-out war. In 2024 alone, the bank invested over UAH 150 million to aid units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the Main Directorate of Intelligence. This amount nearly doubles the previous year’s contributions. The bank’s total assistance provided since the outbreak of the full-scale invasion exceeded UAH 313 million.
Leonid Skalozub, Deputy Chairman of FUIB Management Board for Security, commented:
“We have been responding promptly to urgent requests from frontline units for three consecutive years. In 2024, our defenders most urgently needed electronic warfare (EW) systems, communication equipment, reconnaissance drones, charging stations with generators, vehicles, and repair equipment – all that helped hold down positions, ensure mobility, and provide protection. Of course, we continued to invest in blood donation initiatives, blood transportation, and tactical medical supplies. Every Ukrainian soldier’s life is priceless. In its military support efforts, FUIB works both with prominent charities and smaller volunteer and civil society organisations. Together, we remain relentless in our mission until victory is secured.”
In 2024, the bank fulfilled numerous military requests, purchasing 31 vehicles, 191 reconnaissance drones and control equipment, over 777 camouflage nets, 76 charging stations and generators, 92 pieces of communication and surveillance equipment, 5,235 units of demining tools, 157 EW devices, 45 computer systems, 222 items of equipment for fortifying defensive positions, etc.
Also, FUIB participated in national fundraising efforts with foundations such as the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, Come Back Alive, Steel Front, and KSE Foundation, purchasing EW systems, reconnaissance drones, communication equipment, charging stations, and pickup trucks for our defenders.
In collaboration with Hospitallers CSO, FUIB retrofitted ten evacuation vehicles to save more lives in the harshest conditions on the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv axes. These vehicles were equipped with EW systems, Starlink terminals, refrigerators, additional batteries, headlights, and repair kits.
Beyond direct procurement of equipment and gear, FUIB provided defenders with tactical medical supplies, equipped paramedics with tools and medications, and funded blood transportation to conflict zones under its social project We Are of One Blood. Since the onset of the war, this initiative has helped save more than 144,000 lives.
In a bid to support our combatants, caring Ukrainians donated over UAH 122 million to charity foundations supporting soldiers via various FUIB channels.
