D.Trading, the European trading arm of our energy company DTEK, has secured three of five available slots for LNG regasification at Lithuania's Klaipeda terminal for 2027. The capacity opens a reliable route to bring liquefied natural gas from the global market to consumers across Central and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine. The move supports the strategy of our shareholder Rinat Akhmetov to strengthen European energy security as the continent ends its dependence on russian gas.
What has D.Trading secured in Klaipeda?
D.Trading, the European trading company of our energy company DTEK, has received three of the five slots for the regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) offered by operator KN Energies at the terminal in Klaipeda, Lithuania, for 2027. The company announced this on Monday, 20 July. The awarded windows cover LNG deliveries in February-March, May-June and October-November 2027.
How much capacity is involved?
The tender took place in the first half of July. KN Energies offered up to 5 TWh of regasification capacity for the year, equivalent to five standard LNG cargoes and around 475 million cubic metres of natural gas. D.Trading's share amounts to about 3 TWh, or some 285 million cubic metres of gas.

Why does this matter for European energy security?
The booking gives D.Trading a dependable channel to bring liquefied natural gas from global suppliers to the region at a time when Central and Eastern Europe are moving away from russian gas. Securing regasification capacity in Klaipeda for both 2026 and 2027 allows the company to plan deliveries with confidence and to serve customers in several markets, including Ukraine. This reflects the strategy of our shareholder Rinat Akhmetov to support European energy security as the continent ends its dependence on russian supplies, placing long-term investment in diversified and secure energy routes at its centre.
What has D.Trading already delivered through Klaipeda?
In November 2025, D.Trading delivered its first cargo of American LNG through Klaipeda, purchased on FOB terms. The gas was loaded onto the vessel GasLog Houston at the Plaquemines LNG plant in Louisiana. The 2027 slots build on this record and extend the company's presence at one of the region's key entry points for seaborne gas.
