The balancing capacities of DTEK Energy TPPs maintain reliable thermal generation and grid stability during peak loads amid the hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure.
Over the first two months of 2024, the company’s thermal power plants have supplied more than 2.6 billion kWh of power to the Ukrainian energy grid, achieving a 6% increase year-over-year. This output matches the average annual electricity consumption of nearly 900,000 households.
“Throughout this winter, all available equipment of our TPPs has been running at full capacity, contributing to base loads in addition to the usual balancing, especially at the times of increased consumption due to bad weather and lower temperatures. So despite the enemy attacks on our power plants, with nearly 40 of them this winter alone, our power engineers continue to do everything possible to bring light and heating to the Ukrainian homes”,
said Ildar Salieiev, CEO of DTEK Energy.
