DTEK Energy has already imported nearly 40,000 tonnes of the planned 210,000 tonnes of coal for the upcoming heating season.
This update comes from the company's CEO, Ildar Salieiev.
He emphasised DTEK Energy's commitment to doing everything possible to ensure a stable fuel supply for thermal power plants.
"Our miners are working around the clock to provide a stable fuel source for thermal power plants during the heating season.
Ukrainian coal remains our top priority. This is evident through our significant investment of UAH 7.4 billion in our coal enterprises by the end of this year," he stated.
Additionally, he mentioned that the company imports coal from abroad to ensure that in case of enemy shelling, they are prepared to support the fellow energy producers.
According to Salieiev, since the end of September, an additional 625 railway cars loaded with fuel have already been delivered to DTEK Energy thermal power plants. This amounts to more than 38,000 tonnes of coal for Ukrainian thermal power plants for the winter.
Throughout the entire heating season, the company plans to import approximately 210,000 tonnes of fuel from Poland.
Salieiev assured: "Together with domestically produced coal, these additional batches of imported fuel will enhance the reliability of thermal generation and the energy system during the winter, ensuring light and warmth in Ukrainian homes. Our efforts continue."
