Fourteen FV432 Mark 2 armoured personnel carriers and spare parts for them, with a total cost of UAH 53 million, are making their way to the 3rd Assault Brigade.
FV432/434 Mark 2 is a British tracked armoured vehicle for military personnel. It can accommodate a crew of up to 12 people, with steel armour providing protection against small arms fire and shrapnel. The vehicle has a top speed of 52 kmph and can travel up to 480 km on a single tank. The Steel Front initiative funded this purchase of 12 FV432 carriers and two FV434 maintenance and recovery vehicles in the United Kingdom.
"We found these armoured personnel carriers in the UK, and spent over six months delivering them to Ukraine. The troops had long requested tracked armoured vehicles that can save lives on various frontlines,"
said Oleksandr Vodoviz, a Steel Front representative and the Head of Metinvest Group CEO's Project Office.

With its compact size and caterpillar undercarriage, FV432 Mark 2 carrier excels at maneuvering through challenging terrain, making it ideal for a wide range of tasks.
"Their cross-country performance is much better compared to wheeled vehicles. These vehicles help save the lives of our soldiers who carry out their combat missions now. We're going to upgrade them with navigation and communication systems to improve coordination on the battlefield,"
explained Amper, a soldier from the 3rd Assault Brigade.
FV432 Mark 2 carriers have been used by British armed forces in different conflicts, including the Gulf War (1990-1991), and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Steel Front is a military initiative launched by businessman Rinat Akhmetov. The total amount Rinat Akhmetov has channelled to support Ukraine exceeds UAH 9 billion.
