DTEK Energy companies continue to help the country on the energy front and support the regional economy in the areas of their presence.
Since the all-out invasion more than 6,800 employees have joined the coal, energy and heavy engineering plants of the company. More than 2,600 people are IDPs who had to flee their homes because of occupation or close proximity to the battle area.
A vast majority of IDPs (95%) are employed by coal companies of DTEK Energy. Most of them did not have any mining experience and had to be retrained on the job. Also, there are 850 new young employees who have just graduated and found their first job at the mines.
“During the war each company must operate at the maximum of its capacity as well as remain a reliable partner for the community and a reliable employer. At DTEK Energy, we have already seen multiple relocations of employees from dangerous zones as well as relocation of our companies. Thus, we understand the situation and we always try to support those who had to flee their homes because of hostilities. We continue to support the energy front together with our new employees: we prepare the mining equipment, extract coal and generate electricity. We will do everything to secure victory for our country!” emphasised the CEO of DTEK Energy Ildar Salieiev.
