As part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative, Metinvest Group provides high-quality body armour to Ukrainian defenders.
Supporting Ukrainian defenders is a focus for Metinvest’s companies during the war. In particular, Metinvest provides bulletproof vests and helmets to its employees conscripted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as to other combatants defending Ukraine. The company continues to supply body armour to the army.
As part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative, recently Metinvest Group has supplied 550 Level 4 bulletproof vests that can resist 5.45 mm and 7.62 mm weapons. Reliable body armour produced by Metinvest will be used to protect the life of fighters serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporizhia.
“We always need body armour. We want to thank Metinvest that has supplied the body armour to us. It’s of very good quality. We can see that these bulletproof vests are supplied with 25x30 plates, in line with the United States standards. This is exactly what our soldiers need on the battlefield,” noted a soldier nicknamed Starpom.
In addition, as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative, the company supplies body armour, drones, thermal imagers, prefabricated shelters, vehicles, special equipment, etc. Since the outbreak of the all-out war, Metinvest has donated UAH 1.5 billion to meet the needs of the army.
