Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative keeps on supporting Ukrainian combatants. This time, Metinvest Group has handed over an important cargo worth UAH 12 million to the State Border Guard Service.
In the war time, the country’s borders need intense attention, because the danger of an enemy invasion is still there. Metinvest Group regularly supports Ukrainian border guards and hands over vehicles, equipment, and construction materials to make them feel more confident.
The new convoy includes 40 DJI Mavic 3 and Air 2 drones, 20 thermal imagers, 30 EcoFlow multi-charge stations, and 30 six-kilowatt generators. Also, Metinvest brought 300 winter uniforms and base layers (jackets, trousers, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, and bandanas) and 50 pairs of Lowa tactic shoes to the combatants. The total value of the aid is UAH 12 million.
The border guards have also received 100 tonnes of metal structures to rebuild their posts. This is the second time the company has supplied metal. Earlier, Metinvest Group provided 120 tonnes of steel to reinforce the frontiers.
Modern equipment will help the State Border Guard Service keep positions under surveillance even at night, while our military conduct remote surveillance from a secure site. Generators and charging stations will supply electricity to border crossing points that are not connected to the grid.
