One of DTEK Energy’s coal mining businesses has provided more than 4,000 m3 of wood to our defenders since the all-our war began. The wood is used for building fortifications and warming soldiers fighting on the frontlines.
“We provide regular assistance to our combatants by sharing whatever can be useful at the front from our own production supplies and we’re going to continue to do so as long as needed,”
said deputy CEO of one of DTEK Energy’s coal production businesses.
Along with donating wood, the company regularly provides aid to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over the past two years, the company’s coal production enterprises have delivered over 1,000 tonnes of coal to Ukrainian defenders fighting on the frontlines as well as other military units. To extend humanitarian aid to as many units as possible and at the military’s request, volunteers have started packing it into 50 kg bags. In March, the first shipments were dispatched to the defenders in Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions.
Since the onset of the all-out Russian invasion, DTEK Group has channelled more than UAH 1.1 billion to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian efforts, with DTEK Energy contributing the lion’s share of the amount.
