In preparation for the heating season DTEK Energy has successfully completed the scheduled repair of another power unit at one of its thermal power plants. This effort contributes an additional 80 MW of capacity to the Ukrainian energy grid, enhancing its reliability.
Since the beginning of the year, DTEK Energy has already repaired 17 of 19 power units that were scheduled for maintenance before the start of the heating season. This means that 90% of the planned repair campaign has already been carried out. According to the schedule, two more power units are set to be added to the energy system in the coming days.
As part of the repair campaign DTEK Energy plans to repair 27 power units by the end of 2023 to ensure smooth operation during the autumn/winter period.
From January to September 2023, the company invested UAH 2.8 billion in scheduled repair works, and this figure is expected to rise to UAH 3.9 billion by year-end.
