Metinvest and Pokrovsk City Military Administration have signed a Memorandum on Cooperation to proceed with the financial aid programme to overhaul transportation links near Nova Station, Pokrovsk. The money for funding the project to repair the bridge and fix the streets will be provided from the national and local budgets. In addition, Metinvest is going to donate UAH 5 million that will be used to produce design estimate documentation.
Metinvest Group has been always engaged in the life and development of the areas where its businesses operate. Since the war’s outbreak the company has been supporting the country and expanding the areas of assistance. Metinvest has now joined the initiative to repair the transportation links in Donetsk Oblast, most of which are a battle area now.
COO of Metinvest Group Oleksandr Myronenko: “We are resuming our social programmes in Pokrovsk. We have signed the first Memorandum with the regional and municipal authorities. The first step is to finance the production of design estimate documentation for the overhaul of the transportation link near Nova Station. I hope it will help proceed with the reconstruction works and restore transportation links between Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. This has been a key artery for freight traffic. So it’s very important to ensure the transportation link is in good condition. We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and we believe that Pokrovsk will be safe, and we are ready to resume social projects and provide assistance in the areas where our businesses operate”.
