First Ukrainian International Bank together with Future Development Agency and KSE Business School has launched an educational grant programme for veteran business development Meeting Half Way, to support business endeavours of defenders and help them make that step together with their families and friends.
Veterans embarking on a challenging journey of reintegration into civilian life need reliable partners who can meet them half way and then confidently walk forward side by side.
Serhiy Mahdych, deputy chairman of FUIB’s management board on corporate business:
“The programme gives grants of UAH 500,000 to 1,000,000 to kickstart or develop your own business. It unites veterans and civilians for better integration and development of Ukrainian economy. The educational grant programme will help create new jobs and advance the social entrepreneurship in Ukraine. It will also enable veterans to rediscover their big mission in civilian life and make this world a better place, as well as strengthen our country.”
Who is eligible for the programme: Teams of at least two people, led by a veteran or active-duty service member who holds combatant status.
Programme features: The opportunity to start a business with a friend or close relative, access to modern business training, mentorship and expert support during a small business runway, favourable bank servicing conditions for sole proprietors, and marketing assistance.
