As part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative, DTEK Energy continues to provide regular assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Since December 2023, DTEK Energy has been helping Ukrainian defenders build and outfit defensive fortifications on the Donetsk axis. The company has been providing timber and other materials, as well as paying for specialised equipment used to build fortifications. This assistance helped erect around 100 fortifications, with a total length of defensive structures reaching around 26 km.
Along with assistance in building fortifications, DTEK Energy regularly provides aid to meet the needs of Ukrainian defenders. One of DTEK Energy’s coal mining businesses has provided more than 4,000 m3 of wood to our defenders since the all-out war began. The wood is used for building fortifications and warming soldiers fighting on the frontlines. Over the past two years, the company’s coal production enterprises have delivered over 1,000 tonnes of coal to Ukrainian defenders fighting on the frontlines as well as other military units.
Since the onset of the all-out Russian invasion, DTEK Group has channelled more than UAH 1.3 billion to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian efforts.
