As part of the Saving Lives humanitarian initiative, Metinvest Group continues to provide psychological rehabilitation and health retreats for children in the Carpathian region. During the autumn school holidays, 16 children from Kryvyi Rih – those from families of Metinvest defenders who lost their lives, are missing, or held captive, as well as children of employees who returned to work after demobilisation – enjoyed eight unforgettable days at Synevyr Camp in Zakarpattia.
Amid the peak of a beautiful Indian summer, the boys and girls had the chance to relax, recharge, and regain their strength. The programme included excursions, hiking trips, and sports competitions. Highlights included a visit to Synevyr Lake, exploring the Shypit Waterfall and Mount Hymba, visiting a petting zoo, observing wildlife in their natural habitat at a national nature park, and more.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, psychological support and rehabilitation for Metinvest employees and their families affected by the war has been a key focus of the Saving Lives initiative.
