The Among Your Own project creates a community for the defenders of Mariupol through sports, family activities and leisure
The Among Your Own project is being implemented in Dnipro. Initiated by Shakhtar Social together with the Heart of Azovstal NGO, it is aimed at supporting the defenders of Mariupol and their families. It helps participants with physical and emotional rehabilitation, promotes social adaptation and provides quality family leisure.
The initiative includes regular football training sessions and friendly matches. Family events, collective viewings of Shakhtar matches and visits to the team’s games are also organised.
Currently, 88 Mariupol defenders and their family members living in Dnipro have already joined the project. Dnipro became the first city where the programme was launched, but the initiators plan to expand it to other regions where Mariupol veterans and their families reside.
