Lemtrans keeps operating amid the war and transporting Ukrainian goods by rail. The company continues to show stable performance despite direct military losses, the difficult situation in the railway transportation market, and the fact that some of its rail car fleet is still blocked because of the occupation.
Lemtrans continues to provide assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine under Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative. Thus, it has recently purchased and donated 8 DJI Matrice quadcopters and 8 Starlink terminals to Ukrainian defenders. The assistance is worth approximately UAH 3.3 million. In total, the company has spent UAH 38 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and provide humanitarian aid to local communities.
“We support the government because we believe that effective cooperation between the government and business is key to the country’s security. We are now focused on ensuring the stable operation of the company, because it means jobs for Ukrainians, taxes to Ukrainian budget and, most importantly, assistance to our defenders,”
explains Volodymyr Mezentsev, CEO of Lemtrans.
Ukrainian business has become a tower of strength for defenders in this difficult time. More than 70 Lemtrans employees joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the country.
